I’m a Cebu-based Filipino writer, blogger and marketing professional. Through The Millennial Writer, I write about Philippine politics and governance, Filipino society, marketing, work, writing, faith and the experiences that shape everyday life.

I have never fit neatly into one niche. Writing is how I make sense of ideas. Marketing is my profession. Commentary is how I take part in conversations about the country and society around me. JPAbecillaPH.com brings those three identities together without pretending they are the same thing.
The Writer
I began blogging in the 2010s and gradually built The Millennial Writer into an independent author platform. I write long-form pieces about Filipino life, society, culture, blogging, media and the questions that stay with us after the social-media cycle moves on.

Recognition
Awards are not the reason I write, but they mark parts of a longer journey—from Cebu blogging communities to wider recognition for long-form digital work.
From Cebu
Philippine public discourse is often heavily centred on Metro Manila. I want this platform to contribute another perspective—one informed by Cebu and the Visayas while still engaging seriously with national politics, governance, culture and development. That is why Cebu and local governance will become an increasingly visible part of my work.
Why The Millennial Writer?
I belong to a generation that remembers the internet before social media became the centre of everyday digital life. I have watched blogging evolve through Facebook, influencer culture, short-form video, algorithmic feeds and now artificial intelligence.
Through all of that change, I still believe independent websites and thoughtful long-form writing matter. They give ideas room to breathe, arguments room to develop and writers a home they actually control.
